Agrimony

Agrimony (Agrimonia eupatoria)

Indication: Stress, anxiety, pain

Your pet will seem restless: lying down only to get right back up. You may recognize this behavior from animals in shelters who do not have access to a large spaces and regular human contact. You may have a strong suspicion that your pet is in pain. Your pet can be as enthusiastic and affectionate as always, but conceals the pain as it is common in animals.

The stress and anxiety can be brought on by loud and frequent arguments in your house. Your pet may be in pain, but you may not be able to determine the source of the pain (could be a scratch or a thorn hidden by the fur). Animals react in many different ways when they feel stressed and anxious: they may hiss, snarl or kick – perhaps even urinate in inappropriate places. Agrimony will be a huge help treating your pet, however, treatment will never be 100% until the source of the stress and the anxiety has been eliminated.

It is important to mention that Agrimony is not a painkiller. Agrimony will help relieve the stress and anxiety brought on by pain. As always, please consult with your veterinarian if you suspect that your pet is in pain.

Positive Outcome:

A pet who has suffered emotional or physical trauma will calm down after having Agrimony administered. You will notice your pet calm down, settle down and it will generally seem more at peace. Notice the calm in their eyes. Some pet owners may even say that they got their old friend back. Again, if you suspect that your pet’s ailment was brought on by your own stress, please remember to treat yourself as well as your pet.

Human Indication in the words of Dr. Bach:

The jovial, cheerful, humorous people who love peace and are distressed by argument or quarrel, to avoid which they will agree to give up much. Though generally they have troubles and are tormented and restless and worried in mind or in body, they hide their cares behind their humour and jesting and are considered very good friends to know. They often take alcohol or drugs in excess, to stimulate themselves and help themselves bear their trials with cheerfulness. – The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies
